Save a life. Give blood!

The District Blood Drive is Feb 14, from 12:30 - 6:00 @ District Office.

 
Are you a leader or know someone that is? Why not become a PTA Officer? Mead PTA is looking for nominations for the 2012-2013 School year. All positions are open for nomination: President, 1st VP, Treasurer and Secretary. The nomination form can be found at meadpta.com.  Fill it out and turn it in to Laura Nevel via the school office or e-mail your nominations to Laura @ imeldasr@aol.com.

 You are invited to come and enjoy food, friends and a fun time!

Our Schaumburg Township Council Scholarship Committee is looking for donations of new items or gift certificates for goods and services to be placed in our Mead Baskets for the STC Dinner & Auction. This year’s theme is “Beach Party”.  Every dollar that is raised is distributed back as scholarships in our community.  Volunteer your time, or help solicit items or services. The event will take place Friday, March 16 at 5:30pm at Meridian Banquets, More details to come.  If you would like to help out, please contact Mucia Burke, 847-476-0339(cell) orMaBurke71@comcast.net.   Please click on the Help tab to see how you can help without even being there.

PTA would like to give a big THANK YOU to Dr. Coy and his Art classes for participating in PTA’s “Diversity Means” Reflections program this year.  A grand total of 55 students participated.  WOW! That is awesome!  Congratulations to Sebastian Madej for his Visual Arts Reflections project named “Everyone is Different, Including Me”.  Sebastian Madej is advancing to the Illinois PTA State Level. Way to go Sebastian!!

It is still not too late to become a Mead PTA member. Please fill out the membership form found on our PTA website (www.meadpta.com), click on membership and send your membership to the school office. It is that easy!

 Remember to check our web page for updates especially our HELP tab. Some events that are coming up need volunteers such as 8th grade dance and Committee Chairs. You can also find PTA local and state information.
